Respect at Work: Understanding, Preventing, and Responding to Harassment

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

This half-day interactive workshop provides participants with a strong foundation in understanding workplace harassment, including bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment, and how these issues impact both individuals and organisations. Participants will be introduced to their company’s respect and conduct policies, gaining clarity on the standards expected of all employees and their responsibilities in fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.

Moving beyond theory, the workshop uses real-life scenarios and small group discussions to help participants explore how harassment can play out in everyday interactions.

A key focus of the session is developing practical skills and confidence in responding to harassment situations. Participants will practice using suggested phrases and response strategies that balance empathy, professionalism, and compliance, so they leave equipped to handle difficult situations constructively and are able to draw professional boundaries if inappropriate behaviour arise.
