Workplace Fairness Act 2025: What you Need to Know
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
This 2 hour workshop offers participants a clear and practical introduction to Singapore’s Workplace Fairness Act 2025, highlighting its key provisions and the implications for both employers and employees. Through an accessible breakdown of the law, participants will gain a strong understanding of what the 11 protected characteristics mean and how the legislation seeks to prevent discrimination across the employment lifecycle.
The session goes beyond legal theory by exploring common workplace scenarios which may be influenced by unconscious bias and challenges where fairness issues may arise (e.g. appraisal for a pregnant employee who has been absent).
To make the content engaging and relevant, the workshop incorporates discussion and reflection activities that encourage participants to connect the legislation with their own roles and responsibilities. By the end of the session, attendees will feel more confident in identifying potential risks, responding appropriately, and fostering a culture of respect and fairness at work.
