Respect at Work: Understanding and Preventing Workplace Harassment

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

This 2-hour introductory workshop provides participants with a practical foundation in understanding workplace harassment and its different forms, including bullying and sexual harassment. Participants will explore what constitutes inappropriate conduct, why it matters, and how it impacts both individuals and organisational culture.

The workshop also introduces participants to their company’s code of conduct and anti-harassment policy, ensuring clarity on expected standards of behaviour and the importance of upholding a safe and inclusive work environment. Through quizzes and guided small-group discussions on real-world examples, participants will learn how to recognise when behaviour crosses a line and what appropriate next steps look like.

The session also equips participants with the knowledge of how and where to report inappropriate conduct within the organisation. By combining policy awareness with practical guidance, this workshop empowers staff at all levels to take responsibility for fostering a respectful workplace and to respond confidently when issues arise.
